Key Benefits
Plan The Right System
01
Match The Actual Exposure
Tell us which chemicals and cleaners reach the floor, their concentration and temperature, and how long they remain in contact. The selected system must be checked against the manufacturer’s resistance data. General epoxy is not suitable for every exposure; food-processing requirements must be reviewed for the specific facility and system.
02
Plan For Forklift Traffic
Forklift routes, wheel types, turning areas, loads, and joint condition all matter when selecting a floor system. We review high-wear areas and the slab beneath them. A coating does not correct a structurally inadequate slab, and moving joints need an appropriate detail.
03
Balance Traction And Cleaning
Select surface texture around wet areas, expected spills, footwear, and cleaning equipment. Added texture can support traction, but it also changes cleaning needs. No floor finish eliminates slip risk; prompt spill removal and routine housekeeping remain important.
04
Plan Installation And Reopening
Preparation, repairs, moisture conditions, system build, and site temperature affect the schedule. Foot traffic, forklift traffic, washing, and chemical exposure may have different return-to-service requirements. We plan around the selected manufacturer’s instructions and actual site conditions rather than promise one cure time for every project.
Keep The Floor Working
An epoxy floor still needs regular care. Use the cleaning methods recommended for the installed system and address wear or damage before it spreads.
- Remove grit and debris that can accelerate wear under wheels.
- Clean spills promptly using procedures appropriate for the substance.
- Use compatible cleaners, pads, brushes, and dilution rates.
- Inspect joints, turning zones, and damaged areas so repairs can be planned.
